The Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine (VMRCVM) calls for applications to the Merck-Merial Veterinary Scholars Program (MMVSP) and Summer Veterinary Student Research Program (SVSRP), which are offered during the summer to train veterinary students in their first or second year in biomedical research. These training programs are sponsored by both the Merck Company Foundation and the National Institutes of Health (NIH). Students applying to these summer programs need to commit to a continuous 11-week program without interruption.
